Charis Kontaxis obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2010. He obtained his Master’s degree in Game and Media Technology at Utrecht University, The Netherlands in 2013. In 2017 he received his PhD at the Radiotherapy Department of the University Medical Center Utrecht, The Netherlands for his thesis “Towards real-time plan adaptation for MRI-guided radiotherapy”. The following years, until March 2021, he performed research and developed software for the next generation of online adaptive radiation therapy as a Clinical Computer Scientist at the same deparment.
